Citizen is well known for very robust and powerful label printers
for industry and production. Naturally, Citizen has high standards
regarding user-friendliness and reliability as well. The CLP 9001
thermal transfer label printer was designed with high performance and
simple media handling in mind. Its printing speed of up to 304 mm per
second at 12 dots/mm (300dpi) (CLP9301) and a powerful 32-bit system
architecture make it the ideal printer for batch and critical on-demand
applications.
Other features include the standard 25.4 cm (10'') paper roll holder, automatic media calibration after changing media types, flashable firmware for upgrades, and an optional internal rewinder and a sensor-controlled dispenser edge. Users configure the printer over the clearly readable LCD panel, and menus and categories are logically grouped, making fast changes during print operations possible as well. The sturdy metal body is very durable and allows easy access to the printer’s media compartments. A clever print head system with large opening and colour-coded user instructions makes media changes extremely easy, even for untrained users. The lid can be opened on the top side without using additional space. Its attractive design fits perfectly everywhere, in offices and shops as well as in warehouses and at production lines. For full compatibility, the printer is equipped with industry standard software emulation that allows direct use of many software kits. The Windows drivers from Citizen are of course compatible with all standard operating systems. Equipped with s serial and parallel interface in the standard version, the CLP9001 can also be retrofitted in seconds with a fast parallel IEEE 1284 interface, Ethernet networking or USB interface module. Further options include a PCMCIA interface, two automatic cutter types, as well as a realtime clock and a calendar. |
